11 GPS teachers have been granted wishes by the Fiesta Bowl. Each teacher will be awarded a $5,000 classroom/school grant to make their wish come true!Congratulations to 11 GPS teachers that have been granted wishes by the Fiesta Bowl. GPS Winners & Wishes

Pioneer Elementary:

Jan Lucas’
wish will provide flexible seating in her classroom and new educational materials.

Kristen Acton’s 
wish will provide new chapter book sets for her classroom.

Highland High:

Lisa Loschetter-Geusic’s
wish will provide microphones and speakers for use in the classroom.

South Valley Junior High:

Karen Hadland’s
wish will provide Physical Education equipment.

Houston Elementary:

Cindy Nelson’s
wish will provide flexible seating in her classroom and iPads.

Dana Leonardo’s
wish is to provide Deaf and hard of hearing students access to interact and learn from influential Deaf peers and adults in the community. This will include attending functions that feature Deaf artists, actors, athletes, and other Deaf professionals.

Mesquite Elementary:

Maria Williams’
wish will provide high stools and wobble chairs in her classroom.

Superstition Springs Elementary:

Rebecca Han’s
wish will purchase Chromebooks for her students.

Neely Traditional Academy:

Kelli Fairchild’s wish will purchase new books and technology in the library.

Mesquite High School:

Kate Zentgraf’s wish will be used to create flexible seating areas with Chromebook charging statins, and a conference area for students to use.

Highland Junior High:

Lynn Preble’s wish will purchase water fountains throughout the school.

ARIZONA TEACHERS RECEIVE $1 MILLION IN GRANTS FROM FIESTA BOWL CHARITIES WISHES FOR TEACHERS, POWERED BY DRIVETIME

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – As part of its mission to benefit Arizonans through youth, sports and education, the Fiesta Bowl organization and its Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers program, powered by DriveTime has donated $1 million to 200 Arizona teachers. This is believed to be the largest donation to Arizona teachers.

The full list of teachers who received a Wishes for Teachers grant may be found here. At $5,000 each for 200 teachers across the state, 48,438 students, 182 schools, 85 School Districts and 38 cities will be positively impacted.
