| Gilbert Elementary School emphasizes the core subjects of reading, math, and language arts. In addition to these core subjects, science and social studies are taught. Special classes include physical education, library, art, and music. Gilbert Elementary School also offers an accelerated learning program for students who qualify. For students with special needs, Gilbert Elementary School offers the resource program, speech and language services, special reading program, an integrated preschool and kindergarten program, primary and intermediate autism programs, and ELL services.
