Lottery Information, Updated on March 30, 2018 at 3:30:
4th and 5th Grade Classrooms:
A lottery is not needed for the 4th or 5th grade classroom. An informational email will be sent to all qualified applicants by the afternoon of Monday, April 2, 2018. The email will provide additional information and request for families to accept or decline the invitation to be part of the SCG Program. classrooms.

6th Grade Classroom:
There are more qualified applicants than seats available for the 6th grade classroom so a lottery will occur on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Families will receive an email by mid-day on April 3 noting if their child has a seat in the classroom or if they have been placed on the waitlist. The 6th grade classroom has three open seats and seven qualified applicants. The below considerations will be used when conducting the lottery.

Applications will be considered in the following order:
*Students who are siblings of students who are currently in the Self-contained Gifted Program or the GTC (Gifted Talented and Creative) Program at Highland Junior High School.
